2009 - 2010 Expectations

1. Bowlers must be indoor members or pay the drop-in fee.

2. Please: No bowling during unscheduled times.

3. Each registered member should be able to play a minimum of three times a week.

4. During open practice rinks should be shared to accommodate all those that attend. Games should only be played if all in attendance have the opportunity to practice if they wish.

5. Clean bowling shoes must be used on the green. Please put your bowling shoes on after you arrive at the facility. Potential members and outside groups without bowling shoes must wear club shoe covers (no charge).

6. Club bowls must be used.

7. Please do not use Grippo, Wilgrip and the like on bowls or hands. A small damp sponge kept in a plastic bag could be used instead.

Open Draws

All bowlers are encouraged to participate in open draws.   It is fun and an excellent way for novices to learn the game and for the experienced players to help those who are learning.   All can improve their shot making and knowledge of the strategy of the game. Visitors are required to pay the Drop-in fee of $5.00.   Maximum number of times a visitor may drop-in is three.   The open draws are organized on an informal basis and there is no official draw person.   Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled starting time and place your name disk on the draw table.   Names will be drawn as to which team one plays on. IT'S FUN so don't worry! Please ensure that the lights are out and the building is locked when you leave.

Leagues

All bowlers are encouraged to participate in league play.   It is fun and an excellent way of improving one's skills and knowledge of strategy of the game.   There are Pairs and Triples leagues for men, women and mixed, each lasting five weeks.   Two sessions are held before the holiday break (Oct 5th - Dec 11th) and then three sessions (Jan 4th - Apr 16th) after.   The Green is closed during the holiday break.   Sign-up sheets are posted well in advance of each league session.   The number of leagues organized for each session depends on the number of bowlers registering. League "A" is "Team of Choice" and League "B" is "Adjusted Draw".   Please ensure that the lights are out and the building is locked if there is no other event after league play is finished.

Tournaments

All bowlers are encouraged to participate in tournaments.   Most tournaments take place over a weekend.   Advance notice of upcoming tournaments will be given and sign-up sheets will be posted well in advance.
